Smoking Maniac has its own workshop. Repair of various evaporators is also available - mostly mods that have been purchased from other locations. Due to the specificity of the mods and the fact that very often new units are sent for repair, the cost of repair is mainly calculated on a time-to-base basis. The estimated cost of one working hour in the workshop is 30 BGN. Of course, there are many cases in which diagnostics takes not one hour but sometimes 1 day, but it is impossible to specify every situation.
We do our best to repair the damaged devices, but in many cases the repair has proved meaningless because of the parts or time it will take to fix the problem and fix it. With an average of one mod in the order of 100 leva (for example) new, a long-lasting repair makes sense of the whole value. The price for diagnostics (if the damage is not clear in advance) is 10 BGN. This price together with the price of the courier in both directions determine a minimum of about 20-25 BGN and our clients are well advised to take these facts into consideration.
A common failure is wetting with liquid. Liquid penetrates into fashion most often through the connector and due to the fact that it is not visible externally, it causes wetting of all electronics. It should be emphasized that liquids cause serious damage to boards and electronic components by eating them - slowly but surely. If you feel the slightest flooding, it is advisable to contact a workshop - the sooner the better!
The practice of cleaning in case of getting wet in the workshop is associated with the use of special cleaning chemicals and in severe cases an ultrasonic bath. It is possible that after repairing the fault and returning the device to the customer afterwards, the eating will again lead to a defect, unfortunately the miniature electronics is something that is difficult to do and in principle not done with the idea of repair - so they are a huge part of what is produced in present in all areas.
When cleaning and repairing the connector, the mod is completely disassembled, in one case to remove the circuit board and in the other case to remove the circuit board. When repairing the connector, it should be noted that mod returns to working, but the problem that almost always remains at the factory remains - that is, the next blow or loss by falling on the evaporator can again lead to stagnation. We have serious observations that after repair it becomes a solid connection, but it all depends on the concrete construction, the thickness of the wall of the fashion, etc.
Another common modification to mods is encapsulation of the connector internally to stop subsequent leakage of the mod through it. Very few models and manufacturers have tried to do this, and leaks, even with expensive mods, are ubiquitous. Evaporator leaks must be observed, in addition to reinforcement, they can cause damage!
Another important fact that we really care about is that if the device has already been repaired by colleagues (or by the owner himself), we will be notified! Damages repaired by competent and not so competent electronic technicians are, in theory, difficult to repair, and in many cases it is already impossible to repair them. In the event of prior repairs, the workshop reserves the right to refuse repairs.
The service has a large amount of electronic components, but it is often the case that we have never used one before and delivery is required - in which case repair can take up to a month.
Some mechanical repairs can also be made, but we want to know that we do not have any mechanical means of repair!
Prevention and repair of an evaporator can be made, but under a number of conditions and limited in scope because of the few mechanical tools at our disposal. A set of O rings can be made to measure on-site measuring the exact O ring that will fit on your evaporator, if of course we no longer have such a set in the store.
